Six-foot-5 senior Charles Doss scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth quarter, and junior guard Mick Snowden (15 points) canned three of his five 3-pointers in the period as the No. 5 Red Raiders (5-0, 1-0 Midland A) outscored visiting North Middlesex, 22-4, to erase a 43-34 deficit after three quarters. Sophomore Manny Payton and junior Jose Hernandez added 11 points each for Fitchburg. Bobby Larsen scored 13 points and Francis Phillips added 10 for the Patriots (4-3, 0-1), who also led at halftime, 31-25.
