Senior captain Derek Piekarczyk assisted on the first four Auburn goals and then buried an empty-netter with 29 seconds left as the Rockets (1-0) ousted the Spartans (0-1) in the first round of the Willard Tournament. The hosts will face Shrewsbury at 7 p.m. Saturday at Horgan. Joe Fahey added a goal and an assist, while sophomore goalie Evan Lockwood made 28 saves.
