Wachusett 4, Bedford 3

Jack Watkins scored two goals to lead the top-ranked Mountaineers (9-1-2) past the Bucs (6-4-2) at North Star Youth Forum. Bedford took a quick 1-0 lead on Sean Isnor's goal two minutes into the game, but Wachusett responded 90 seconds later when Watkins picked up an assisted goal. Wachusett made it 2-1 later in the period on a power play by Connor Bernard, and appeared to have all the momentum. Bedford, however, managed to tie it 2-2 at the end of the end of the first period on Anthony Lespasio's goal. Watkins got the only goal of the second period. Skating with a man advantage, Bernard and Matt Cappucci camped themselves out in front of the Bedford crease and forced Grainger to challenge a shot, and Watkins pounced on a rebound and stuffed it home. The Mountaineers got some cushion in the third period when senior captain Colin Bennie notched his eighth goal of the year.
