Sophomore Connor Bernard scored twice, including the winner 6:16 into the second period on the power play to lift the second-ranked Mountaineers (13-2-2) over the Mustangs (12-2-3) at Sgt. Pirelli Rink in Franklin. Bernard's shorthanded tally in the first period gave Wachusett a 1-0 lead. Colin Bennie also scored and had an assist, and Marc Happy had two assists. Jake Strasser made 16 saves for the Mountaineers.
