Kenny Paulhus led all scorers with 20 points and Mark DeVries added 16, including four free throws in the final 40 seconds, as the host Spartans (6-1, 4-1 SWCL) held off the Cougars (4-2, 4-2). Darren DeSana added 15 points for Uxbridge. Bob Pappas buried four 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 18 points, Thomas Jankins scored 16 points and Greg Sokol hit three 3-pointers for 9 points for Quaboag. The Cougars trailed by just one, 24-23, at the half, then played the Spartans even in the third quarter, 10-10.
