Clinging to a 50-49 lead in the final minute, the host Blue Knights (3-1) got a steal and layup from captain Greg Abare (15 points) to gain breathing room in the Wachusett C opener for both teams. Jared Trainque scored 11 points for Lunenburg, which never trailed in the second half after building a 27-19 lead at the half. Austin Coene led all scorers with 17 points for the Tigers (4-3), who clawed within 41-38 after three quarters and forged several ties in the final quarter.
