Junior co-captain Tia Joubert knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 28 points and 12 assists to lead the Aztecs (13-6) past the Guardians (6-13) in the first round of the Lori Bourn Memorial Tournament at West Boylston. Senior co-captain Brenna Boucher added 6 points and 12 rebounds for Assabet. Samantha Chan led a balanced offense for St. Peter-Marian with 9 points. The Aztecs will play the host Lions in the championship at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The Guardians will play Quabbin in the consolation at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
