Sophomore center Brittany Herring scored 13 points to lead the host Cougars in the opener for both SWCL teams. Quaboag pulled away from a 20-17 halftime edge, outscoring the Rams, 17-9, in the third quarter. Junior point guard Jess Korzec scored seven of her nine points in that period. Junior guard Sarah Boucher's 15 points led Northbridge.
