Thomas Hampton (eight points) hit a deep 3-pointer with 22 seconds left as the fourth-ranked Red Raiders (5-0) thwarted an upset bid by the host Panthers (2-4), who have dropped three games to ranked opponents. Mitch Granese (16 points) tied the game for Quabbin at 49-49 with a 3-pointer and a little more than a minute left. Charles Doss led Fitchburg with 16 points.
