Paced by four double-digit scorers, the 18th-ranked Cardinals (13-3) inched closer to the Catholic Central championship with their fifth straight win. Junior center Rory Donovan and junior forward Joey Crane tallied 23 points apiece to lead the way, while junior captain Ryan Roach and senior captain Paul Preziosi chipped in 11 and 10, respectively. Spellman jumped out to a 27-11 lead by the end of the first quarter, and although the Archies chipped away and got within 9 in the third, the visitors' stout defensive effort limited Archbishop Williams to just 25 second-half points.
