Sophomore Brittany Herring scored a game-high 15 points and added 10 rebounds and the third-seeded Cougars (19-2) beat the 19th-seeded Panthers (11-11) in Warren. Quaboag hosts West Boylston in a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Saturday. Jess Korzec added 13 points and Ally Plante hit three 3-pointers en route to 11 points for the Cougars. Gabby Hebert led Ayer-Shirley with 14 points.
