The Cougars advanced to the quarterfinal after winning in a shootout. Sophomore Molly Sullivan scored the only Cougars' goal in regulation, assisted by sophomore Maddy Ricci. Ricci went on to score the winning goal in the shootout. The Cougars' goaltender, Shannon O'Neil, made 40 saves.
