Evan Lerner scored 23 points and sophomore Kevin Bresciani hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 8 seconds left to send the 10th-seeded Blue Raiders (18-6) to the Division 3 championship game with a semifinal victory over the third-seeded Cougars (20-4) at WPI. Bresciani's game-winning shot was the 11th 3-pointer of the game for Hopedale, which will play Littleton in the final at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Fitchburg State. Kevin Lynch and Jeremy Bacon each finished with 13 points, while Bresciani finished with 11 points. Quaboag's all-time leading scorer Thomas Jankins capped an outstanding career with 24 points. Jankins hit four 3-pointers, with his fourth and final trey capping a comeback from a 20-point deficit and pulling the Cougars into a 64-64 tie with 37 seconds left.
