Aretha Sullivan and Sam O'Gara combined to score all but four points for the top-seeded Cougars (23-1), who roared back from a 30-23 halftime deficit to force overtime, where they outlasted the second-seeded Beavers (21-3) to capture their first Division 3 title at Fitchburg State. Sullivan scored a game-high 35 points, including 9 in OT, while O'Gara finished with 28. Main South will play Lee in a state semifinal at 4:15 p.m. on Monday at the DCU Center. Ashley Thompson led Valley Tech with 22 points, while Megan McFadden added 15 points and Meghan Ferschke chipped in with 12. Kelly Ney had 8 points for the Beavers, including a tying 3-pointer with 19 seconds left in regulation.
