Alex McLaughlin pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10 and walking two, and senior first baseman Ryan Sullivan's base running in the fourth inning propelled top-seeded Littleton to a home victory over eighth-seeded Douglas. Littleton plays Oxford in a semifinal at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Fino Field in Milford. Sullivan walked in the fourth, stole second, advanced to third on a grounder, and alertly scampered home for a 2-0 lead when a pitch in the dirt got away from Douglas catcher Joey Batson. Douglas starter Andrew Reed struck out six with just one walk in six innings, allowing just an unearned run in the first and Sullivan's tour around the bases in the fourth. Evan Bertone's RBI single in the sixth pulled Douglas within a run, 2-1.
