The Wolverines (2-0) controlled the pace of the game on the ground as seven runners combined for 347 rushing yards, led by quarterback Drew Mazzeo (4 carries, 117 yards). Leicester scored on its first four possessions - including Tom Rodrick's touchdown runs of five and 23 yards in the first quarter. Ryan McKay had six rushes for 79 yards and freshman Sam LaVoilette had seven carries for 62 yards - all in the second half. Leicester's defense held the Pirates (0-2) to just two first downs in the first half. Oxford avoided the shutout with three minutes left when Tyler Tremblay connected with Kyle Racine for a 32-yard touchdown.
