Kyle Braile rushed 27 times for 177 yards and scored a 2-yard touchdown with six minutes left to lead the host Warriors (3-4, 2-1 Dual Valley) past the Sammies (3-3, 0-2) and into the postseason. Nipmuc will travel to face top-seeded Shepherd Hill at 7 p.m. Friday in a Division 4 first-round game. Freshman quarterback Derek DeMarzo was 6 of 8 for 159 yards and connected with his brother Nick on a 20-yard score to cut the lead to 14-7 in the second quarter. Pete Schiloski had a 5-yard touchdown to tie the game for Nipmuc in the third quarter. Grant Jorgenson caught two passes for 107 yards and Patrick Robinson led the Warriors' defense with eight tackles. Tommy Mooney rushed for a 12-yard touchdown for Sutton, while Nate Coats caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Tucker Haerle as the Sammiez jumped to a 14-0 lead.
