Dan Henrickson caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Seamus Leary in the fourth quarter, and sealed the win with a 39-yard touchdown pass with 3:20 left in the game to give the Guardians their first Thanksgiving Day win over St. John's since 2002. Tyis Boykin also scored for St. Peter-Marian (8-3). Shane Combs scored on a 4-yard touchdown run on the first St. John's drive, but the Guardians' defense kept the Pioneers out of the end zone the rest of the way. Isaiah Soucy led the St. Peter-Marian running game, while St. John's was dealt a blow when starting quarterback Drew Smiley went down with a shoulder injury in the second quarter and didn't return. The Pioneers (9-3) still have one game left, as St. John's will play Mansfield (12-0) in the Division 2 Super Bowl on Saturday, December 7 at Gillette Stadium.
