No. 8 Duxbury used a goal-line stand -- its third of the second half -- as the clock expired to secure a win in its opener. Sean McCarthy threw two touchdown passes to Drew Hadley and ran for another. Hadley also had an interception to go with two picks by Mike Callendar. The Green Wave stuck to its run game, led by Jason Halpin and Al Freeman, but they came up just short in the end.
