Zak Walker completed 13 of 20 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns as the host Panthers (3-6) held off the Sammies (3-5). Walker hit his brother, Alex, for a 15-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and added a 31-yard strike in the third quarter. Alex Walker caught five passes for 110 yards. Dre Carmona caught a 52-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for the Panthers. In the fourth quarter, Zach Gorczynski and Ty Hemmingway had 3-yard touchdown runs to bring Sutton within two points, but the Panthers stopped the conversion rush after the final TD.
