Brian Bernard scored three of his four goals in the third period to help the Rangers (3-1) break away from the Tomahawks (0-1-2) at the North Star Youth Forum. Bernard broke a 2-2 tie at 3:34 of the final period, then added power-play goals at 7:39 and 14:00 to complete the natural hat trick. Bernard's first goal gave Westboro a 1-0 lead at 3:06 of the first period. Jake Uhlman and Robert MacElhaney also scored for the Rangers, while Scott Erickson recorded four assists. Algonquin's Matt Tozeski (goal, assist) and Alex DiPadua scored second-period goals to pull the No. 5 Tomahawks even at 2-2. Westboro junior goalie Jared Ward picked up the victory with 27 saves.
