Ian Wetherbee connected at 5:10 of the third period to give the visiting Pioneers (7-3-1) a 3-2 lead, but the Cougars (7-0-1) scored the next four unanswered at Ed Burns Arena in Arlington. Patrick Storer and Bryan Nelson had the other goals for St. John's.
