Will Watkins had 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, when the host Cougars (5-0, 5-0 SWCL) turned a four-point lead into a 12-point cushion thanks to strong defense and key shots to deal the Indians (7-1, 7-1) their first loss. Jake Wisniewski had a game-high 18 points for Quaboag, but was hindered by foul trouble down the stretch. Ethan Lacaire had five of his eight points down the stretch to help the Cougars ice the game. The Cougars relied on man-to-man defense to contain the high-tempo offense of Bartlett, as high scorers Evan Anderson (3 points) and Alexander Givins-Perry (12 points) were kept in check, while Jacob Mailloux led the Indians with 15 points.
