The Guardians came up short against the Knights before a large crowd in Worcester. The outcome offset outstanding performances by St. Peter-Marian sophomores Makai Ashton-Langford and Greg Kuakumensah. Ashton-Langford, a guard, pumped in a game-high 23 points, almost all of them coming on twisting drives and soft floaters. He added 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. The high-flying Kuakumensah, a forward, scored 21 points. This included three dunks and two 3-pointers. Kuakumensah, 6-4, pulled down six rebounds. Senior guard/forward Connor Brown added nine rebounds. Guilien Smith and Brandon Twitty each scored 15 points for Catholic Memorial.
