St. John’s (Shrewsbury) 79, Holy Name 25

Life is again good for the St. John's basketball team. No longer plagued by rust, the Pioneers are back at full strength and clicking on all cylinders. That was clear from the opening tip in Friday night's semifinal game against Holy Name in the 10th Annual Laska Yuletide Invitational, as the third-ranked Pioneers were led by 12 points from Drew Vittum at Assumption College's Laska Gynmasium. The Pioneers (4-1) play Wachusett in Saturday's final tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
