Revving to a 23-4 lead in the opening eight minutes, the Naps (4-13) kept the pedal floored the rest of the way and soundly surprised the No. 6 Patriots (11-6). Senior forward Joe Caico began the opening firestorm, draining a trey from the left corner and then hitting a layup next time downcourt. Freshman James Trottier then hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and the Naps were up and away.
