Senior center Ashley Thompson had a game-high 22 points and added 15 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the host Beavers past the Warriors in the opener for both teams. Meghan McFadden had nine points for Valley Tech, while Danielle Schiloski led Nipmuc with 13 points.
