Elyse Pena scored 15 points to lead the visiting Pioneers in the opener for both teams. The Pirates led, 9-8, after one quarter before Southbridge clamped down on defense, outscoring Oxford, 12-3, in the second for a 20-12 halftime lead. The Pioneers’ Alana Ramos (9 points) had several steals in that second quarter. Pena was 6 of 7 from the line for Southbridge. Callie Andrews led Oxford with 13 points.
