Liam Pickett had a game-high 33 points, while sophomore Jared Bucklet had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the visiting Pirates past the Pioneers in the season opener for both teams. Shaun McCarthy had 17 points for Oxford. Emilio Torres had 12 points for Southbridge.
