Akeil Shakoor paced three Burncoat players in double digits with 16 points as the Patriots (12-6) beat the Cougars (9-9) in the first round of the Hometeam Worcester City Tournament at North. Zhemir Brown added 13 points and Joel Liriano chipped in with 10 for Burncoat, while will play Doherty in a semifinal on Tuesday. Jose Rodriguez scored 10 points for Main South, which will play Worcester Tech in a consolation game on Tuesday.
