Thanks to a statewide realignment, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional was a newcomer to the Central Mass. Division 1 Tournament this year, but they got a taste of what area teams have had to deal with for the last few decades – a St. John’s High team putting on a playoff clinic. The second-seeded Pioneers erupted to a 12-0 lead were never threatened on their way to an 85-41 win Thursday night over the visiting Warriors. St. John’s (19-4) will make its seemingly annual trip to WPI Sunday, where it will meet top seed and ancient rival Sr. Peter-Marian in a semifinal at 5 p.m. The Pioneers and Guardians split their regular season games, with each team winning at home.
