Moments after the Rockets' D.J. Scavone fouled out with the game tied, 42-42, with two minutes left in the game, Auburn's Mike Thomas followed up a defensive stop by the Rockets with a 3-pointer and after the defense stepped up again, teammate Adam Gustafson buried a pair of free throws to give Auburn a five-point lead it never relinquished as the No. 9 Rockets (15-8) stunned the No. 1 Clockers (19-2) in Ashland. Auburn will face the winner of Sunday's game between Greater Lowell and Northbrige at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at WPI. Ashland had beaten Auburn in the regular season, 61-36. Scavone finished with 18 points - including eight in the second quarter to keep the Rockets within one at halftime, while Thomas led the way with 19 points - including seven in the fourth quarter for Auburn.
