Junior Nicole Coulombe took a feed from eighth-grader Kayla Currin and scored the winning goal at 13:38 in the second period to lift the No. 19 Tomahawks (10-7-4) over the No. 14 Vineyarders (11-7-3) in a Division 2 preliminary game. Currin had two assists for Algonquin, which will play at Falmouth at 6 p.m. Saturday in a first-round game. Nicolette San Clemente and Paige Fournier added goals for the Tomahawks, while Sasha Barry made 14 saves. Callie Jackson and Haven Huck scored for Martha's Vineyard.
