In the NEPSAC Class A final, fourth-seeded Exeter (17-9) captured its second straight title, beating third-seeded Hotchkiss (20-6). Exeter’s Jeb Helmers (10 points), who will walk-on at Princeton, scored the deciding basket with 2.5 seconds left on a 3-pointer from the left elbow. JD Slajchert added 12 points, while South Hamilton’s James Foye chipped in 8 points for Big Red. “It’s completely different,” said coach Jay Tilton when asked to compare the two titles. “It’s a very different team and the road was very different . . . I’m very proud of them.” In defeat, Hotchkiss’ Makai Mason scored a game-high 16 points.
