Jack Riley struck out nine and scattered two hits and two unearned runs over six innings and also had the game-winning triple in the top of the 10th to lead the No. 2 Guardians past the No. 1 Pioneers. Riley was 2 for 4 and reached base three times. Catcher Brandon O'Connor led off the 10th with a single and then came around on Riley's winning triple to right center, breaking a 2-2 tie. PJ Browne matched Riley, going six innings and striking out seven. Browne walked the bases loaded with no outs in the sixth, resulting in O'Connor and Riley coming in to tie the score on a pair of fielder's choices. Browne and Scott Manea both had a single and a walk for St. John's.
