Nate Frederick hit a two-run double in the fifth inning, finished with three RBIs and was the winning pitcher with 2-1/3 innings of one-hit, shutout relief as the Guardians (14-6) won in the first round of the Coaches for Cancer Tournament at Yetten Field in Waltham. St. Peter-Marian faces the winner of Needham-Waltham in the final at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. SPM's Jack Riley and Brandon Kelley each had two hits and two runs, and Jono Crimmin tripled and scored twice.
