Mike Wood had four goals, including what proved to be the winner with 23 seconds left in the third period, to vault the eighth-seeded Tomahawks (13-8) over the No. 9 Tigers (13-6) in a Central-West Division 2 first round game in Northboro. Trailing by 7-1 at halftime, the Tomahawks scored seven unanswered goals in the third, with Woods, who also had three assists, leading the way. Zach Skowronek added three goals and two assists, and Paul Longo had three goals and three assists. Algonquin will face top-seeded Longmeadow (20-1) in the quarterfinals at a date and time to be announced.
