Just listed: A penthouse condo atop the Boston Harbor Hotel for $16 million

The condo has four bedrooms, five full baths, two half baths, and 7,230 square feet of space. It comes with three private terraces.

Sometimes a property comes with that “million-dollar view.” This one is $16 million.

The unobstructed view — of Boston Harbor, the city skyline, and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway — is just one of the many captivating features of 10 Rowes Wharf, Penthouse 6. The property, which has four bedrooms, five full baths, two half baths, and 7,230 square feet of living space, is considered a penthouse condo, but the listing agent, Tracy Campion of Campion and Company, offers a different description: “It’s really a home sitting on top of a five-star hotel,” Campion said in an interview with Boston.com, referring to the Boston Harbor Hotel.

This is the first time this three-level home has been for sale since it was built in 1987; the property’s developer owns it, Campion said.

The penthouse’s foyer has 23-foot ceilings. “It’s very dramatic when you come in and then you enter off that two-story foyer,” she said. “Everything’s off that.”

The main living room has a curved wall of windows. Couple that with three private terraces, and one can take in the view on the worst and best weather days.

The home also comes with open kitchen and dining areas with city views, as well as a formal dining room with windows on two walls, according to the listing. There’s also a library.

The master suite comes with two marble bathrooms. The larger of the two has a soaking tub with views of the water, as well as a walk-in closet and terrace access.

The entire third floor is the unit’s “grand entertaining room,” according to the listing, with ceilings that stretch to 27 feet high.

Living on top of the hotel means residents can take advantage of the amenities, including its health club, spa, pool, and 24-hour concierge service, according to Campion.

“It’s a very calming feeling in the apartment,” Campeon said. “It’s very elegant.”
