Lisa Buyuk of Buyuk Interiors can help you transform your own backyard into a glam destination. The Boston-based interior designer spent the past year refining ways to bring interior living outside.
Here, Buyuk shows us how to use a tent to create an outdoor space that draws on the New England summer houses with mismatched furniture accumulated over multiple generations. “It’s meant to evoke the magic and fantasy of childhood summers,” Buyuk said.
How to get the look

Chairs Add a vintage vibe with a wicker butterfly chair. Buyuk went for a true vintage piece, but reproductions are just as fun. More is more with these pieces. ($998 at anthropologie.com)

Planters No matter how lush your lawn, you’ll want to add greenery in oversize planters to anchor the tent to the landscape. These cement planters masquerading as baskets are ingenious.
