Ever wish you could live in a swanky hotel? The buyer of this luxury sale will.

On April 10, Mark Doherty of Campion and Company Fine Homes Real Estate sold a penthouse in Boston’s Ritz-Carlton for $8,250,000, making it one of the priciest sales last week.

Located at 2 Avery St., steps from Boston Common, the nine-room unit sits atop the hotel’s south tower, on the 39th floor, with panoramic views of the Charles River, Boston Common, and more. Built in 2000, the condo has five bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The unit is freshly painted and clocks in at 4,703 square feet, not including the private terrace.

Residents of the pet-friendly building can avail themselves of the many perks of hotel living, including 24-hour concierge service and the Equinox gym and spa. Three valet parking spots in the garage were included in the sale.
