Luxury Home of the Week: For $19.5 million, a commanding estate on Lake Winnipesaukee
The custom home has features 37 rooms, including eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms.

This week’s luxury home is a Wolfeboro, N.H., mansion that serves up 841 feet of Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront and chandeliers devoted to all things wildlife.
The estate at 144 Springfield Point Road, also known as “Lakeside Manor,” comprises nearly 18,000 square feet of living space on 7.1 acres. Price? $19,500,000. The estate includes a main residence, barn, boathouse, and docks. Jamieson Duston of Bean Group has the listing.
The custom-designed home went up in 2006 and features 37 rooms, including eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. An elevator provides access to all four levels, as does a spectacular curvy staircase.
The owner’s suite sits on the main level of the main residence. The home also offers a two-bedroom guest wing with a separate entrance, kitchen, and elevator, as well as four additional bedroom suites and a room with eight built-in bunk beds.
In the great room, graced with crown molding and the whimsy of moose chandeliers, the focal point is a 30-foot natural stone fireplace. It even includes a lift to bring firewood up from the lower level.
Other treats include a home office, spa, sauna, gym, bar, summer kitchen, craft room, heated six-car garage, hand-painted murals and faux finishes, and a lower level with two fireplaces. Oh, and let’s not forget the home theater with 15 leather seats or the temperature-controlled wine cellar that holds 900-plus bottles.
The 3,082-square-foot boathouse boasts three bays and a mahogany interior, and the 1,800-square-foot barn is big enough to hold an RV. The property comes with four additional dock slips.
“The current owner has just wrapped a complete upgrade of all automation, security, and AV systems in the home,” with touch-control pads for every light, according to the listing.
