Watch Lee Stempniak’s overtime game-winner against Florida
Lee Stempniak is on pace for a career year. When the 33-year-old was traded from New Jersey to Boston on Feb. 29 , he was leading the Devils in scoring. In his four games as a Bruin, he continues to show off that offensive prowess.
Stempniak capped off a strong night in a spectacular fashion, potting the OT game winner against a formidable Florida Panthers team.
In his decade of NHL play, Stempniak has worn three different numbers and played for nine different teams. And with his goal Monday night, he’s notched a game winning goal for each team he’s skated for.
After last night’s performance (1G, 2A), Stempniak holds the title of Bruins leading scorer (6pts) since the trade deadline, tied with Patrice Bergeron.
Not a bad return for a 2nd and 4th-round pick.
