After Bruins rookie Jake DeBrusk scored his first goal, his dad shed tears of joy

The Bruins’ season opener against the Nashville Predators provided milestones for a pair of the team’s promising class of rookies. Both 20-year-old Jake DeBrusk and 19-year-old Charlie McAvoy scored their first NHL goals. In each case, their families were in the building to see the special moment.
DeBrusk, a 2015 first round draft pick, scored in his NHL debut:

His father, Louie DeBrusk, is a former player and NHL broadcaster. After the goal, the 46-year-old father wept a few proud tears:
