The bad calls went both ways in the final two minutes of the Celtics’ 102-101 loss to the Hawks in their Game 1 playoff matchup.

Here are those four errors by the refs, via NBA.com’s “Last Two Minutes Report“:

  1. With 1 minute 58 seconds left, Kent Bazemore should have been called for a defensive three-second violation. The violation went uncalled. The Hawks held their lead, 94-90. Find the video here.
  2. On the same play, with 1 minute 58 seconds left, the Hawks’ Kyle Korver was incorrectly called for a foul on Isaiah Thomas. As Thomas drove to the net, Korver maintained “legal guarding position” and made “incidental contact with Thomas,” via the NBA report. Thomas cut the Hawks’ lead to 94-91 by hitting one of the two free throws. Find the video here.
  3. The Hawks’ Al Horford set an illegal screen on Evan Turner without giving him room to avoid contact with 55 seconds left in the game. The violation went uncalled. The Hawks led, 96-93. Find the video here.
  4. Two seconds later with 53 seconds left, Horford set another illegal screen — this time on Marcus Smart. Again, he failed to give the defender room to avoid contact. It went uncalled. Korver, who used the illegal screen for separation, missed the jumper. Find the video here.
