Marcus Smart has hopped aboard the Kevin Durant recruiting train.

Interviewed at the opening of his basketball camp Tuesday, the Celtics guard had nothing but positive things to say about Durant, who has placed the Celtics on his short list of NBA teams he will consider in free agency.

“I think any team would love to see Durant and those type of caliber players on their team,” said Smart, via WEEI.com. “But we’re not the ones that make that call, so we just kind of sit back and wait. And whatever decisions that the front office makes, we’re ready to run with it.”

Smart, who played at Oklahoma State and says he got to watch Durant play quite a bit, had praise for the athletic prowess of the 6-foot-9-ish Durant.

“It’s incredible. A guy his size to do what he does, it’s unreal,” Smart said via WEEI.

Fellow Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas has already pledged that he’s “all in” on trying to recruit Durant to Boston.
