Terry Rozier wore a Drew Bledsoe jersey before Game 1 against the 76ers
"I got connects."
The Celtics-Bucks series ended Saturday, but its drama still lives on.
Guard Terry Rozier arrived at TD Garden wearing an old school Drew Bledsoe jersey before Game 1 of Boston’s Eastern Conference semifinals matchup against the 76ers Monday.
Rozier has been tied to the former Patriots quarterback ever since he mistakenly referred to Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe as “Drew” during his press conference following the Celtics’ Game 1 win over Milwaukee. Rozier told reporters before tip-off Monday he acquired Drew’s Patriots jersey after Game 2 against the Bucks, but was waiting for the right time to break it out.
“That’s my guy,” he said of Drew. “I’ve never had a conversation with him, but that’s my guy. You know who I am and I know who you are.”
Drew made an appearance on the video board during Saturday’s Game 7 to pump up the crowd. Rozier called it “dope.”
