If the Eastern Conference finals go the distance, Charles Barkley likes the Celtics to beat the Cavaliers in Game 7.
“I got the Celtics in seven,” he said.
Barkley — who picked against the Celtics in their first-round matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks — made a two-part prediction on TNT Tuesday night.
- Whichever team wins Game 5 is going to win the series.
- Boston will win the series if Game 7 is necessary.
“If they go to seven, Boston is going to win,” he told his TNT co-hosts. “I think whoever wins [Wednesday night] is going to win that series, whether it’s Boston or Cleveland. Cleveland is not going to win Game 7 back in Boston. I thought this was a pick ’em series before it started.”
Barkley did not specify what would happen if Cleveland were to win Game 5 and Boston were to win Game 6. In that situation, the result of Game 7 would conflict with one of his existing stipulations.
"If it goes to seven, Boston is going to win. Cleveland is not going to win Game 7 back in Boston."
