Boston athletes remember Boston Marathon anniversary

Several notable Boston athletes took to social media Tuesday to share their thoughts on the one-year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

Red Sox lefthander Jon Lester shared an emotional sentiment as his team prepared to face the White Sox in Chicago:

On Instagram, Patriots running back Stevan Ridley shared photos of himself and other Patriots with victims recovering from their injuries and the hashtag “#NeveForget’’:

Marblehead native Shalane Flanagan is running the marathon this year as one of the favorites in the race.
