Boston commemorates the marathon bombings with a moment of silence

For the third year in a row, Bostonians took a moment at 2:49 p.m. to stop and pay respect to those injured and killed at the 2013 Boston Marathon.

Some spectators paid their respects at the marathon finish line.

 

While others joined Mayor Marty Walsh for a moment of silence at City Hall Plaza.

 

Governor Charlie Baker, Lt. Gov. Karen Polito and other state officials also took time to mark the moment in the State House rotunda.
