Boston’s most famous dogs support the Marathon runners, too

No Marathon post of yours will be as cute as these.

It’s customary for people in Boston to show social media solidarity with Marathon runners each year as they power along the 26.2-mile route.

Monday morning, some of Boston’s most Instagram-famous dogs participated in that online buzz, paws-ing to show their support for this year’s runners.

Here’s Sir Harvard Dangerfield, a Samoyed with a following of over 25,000, sitting pretty near the finish line:

Brandy, a lab mix, and Moose, a Bernese Mountain Dog, got decked out in Boston Strong colors:

Some pups wore official Boston Athletic Association swag to mark the occasion.

Bret Maverick, a Husky/Golden Retriever mix, cheered from his couch:

Pikachu the Pekingese flaunted his Marathon blanket to his 1,000-plus followers:

Others dogs posed on the finish line.

Ueli, a Berger Blanc Suisse–who has nearly 10,000 Instagram fans–got his picture snapped on Boylston Street:

Knox, Bear, and Harper of the South End made an appearance, as well:

Even the official @pugsofinstagram account, which has 988,000 followers, gave a shout-out to the runners.

Sports fans never looked so adorable.
